There has been a lot of activity going on our Twitter (@insanejournal) and our Facebook Page (facebook.com/InsaneJournal). You should follow these pages as this is where status information gets posted when the main InsaneJournal page is down.

    Can you also post news updates here when the site is working? It's great to have someplace to go for information when the site's down, but the primary source of IJ news should really be IJ itself. For instance, if you want feedback, know that not everyone has a FB or Twitter (or is willing to cross the streams, as it were) and can't/won't respond to you there. Prior to this, there hadn't been an update here since April, which is a little concerning.

    As always though, thank you for all that you do to keep this site running!

    Facebook's a pain in the butt lately about pages. If people don't see your post updates, they might have to add you to their interests in order to get anything on their newsfeed. Also, they have to interact with your page almost daily to make sure it doesn't disappear. Posts on Facebook pages are currently reaching less than 40% of a page's audience, if I remember that number correctly, unless you pay to have the post promoted. :( Twitter might be your best bet to get the word out when the site's down.

      All of my facebook posts get put on Twitter too.

        Cool deal. :) I do the same thing for my pages as well. I get more active followers on Twitter than on Facebook now. I used to have more on Facebook. But definitely having both is a good idea.
