Account codes are now required on InsaneJournal. They can be given as gifts from existing accounts (http://www.insanejournal.com/invite/) or you can purchase one by buying a paid account for an email address (which will allow you to create an account AND become a paid member).

If you want to generate new account codes, visit http://www.insanejournal.com/invite/ . Please report any bugs with the invite code system ASAP and we will resolve them asap.

  I agree with the above. If you look at the stats page you'll notice that, of the last 10 journals updated, nine of those are spam journals.
