So we did it, today marks 10 years since InsaneJournal first came online! I wanted to do this anniversary with much more fanfare surrounding it, but time was just not on our side.

Please use this post to talk about your favorite InsaneJournal memories over the last 10 years.


To celebrate, and thank you for keeping us around for 10 years, we are lowering the cost of Self-Committed[paid] accounts just for today.

The prices are now set as

1 Month - $2
6 Month - $5
12 Month - $10

These prices will only be in affect until about 10am (EDT) Monday. So get them while you can!!!

Thank you again for all of your support. Keep an eye out for the Black Friday sale coming up on November 25th

    I came here during the crash and burn of GreatestJournal, and I'm so glad I did. You've been giving some pretty quality maintainer-ship ever since and that's been one of the main reasons I've chosen to stick around. I haven't regretted coming here.

    Thanks for all of the hard work you've done for the place. You and InsaneJournal really are fabulous.

    Congrats! That is a huge success and definitely a huge moment for IJ! I hope that IJ continues to be around for a long, long time!

    I won't forget when I first came here, I got involved with the old site theme contest, the mascot name, and how small IJ was then and quiet... look how much it has grown!

    I really wish you had let this sale go on longer. You left the last permanent account sale up for a week, but a great, GREAT paid account sale like this went up and then vanished again before anyone in my game had noticed it. I know lots of people would have gifted each other paid accounts with prices like that (when I mentioned the sale, many of them said so to me). And from a business angle, someone buying a permanent account might never pay you again -- it's a temporary boost in revenue, but it's very temporary. Long-term, the regular account sale is more profitable.

    I hope that the Black Friday sale is going to be a regular account sale.

    But I really do wish you and all of IJ a happy anniversary. You have a great site here and we all really appreciate the work you do, and I don't regret moving my game here one bit!

    Back in May 2011 when you wrote your first entry about username purges (and becoming a mod in communities where the original mod had left), I sent a message letting you know I would be happy to be a moderator of the EDNOS community on IJ. I never heard back from you, officially my request still has an "open" status on your system.

    I realise you are busy updating systems and such to improve IJ for users, but I would appreciate some feedback. One more active community on IJ can't hurt :0).
