The site was indeed down for the majority of the day today. I apologize for this as I didn't have an adequate monitoring systems in place. I will keep everyone updated when I get a new system in place.

squeakyActually I wasn't. I was spending time with my family, and the monitoring that I had in place failed me. The issue with the site wasn't major, it was down for so long because I didn't get notified that it was down.
