Permanently Insane Accounts For Sale
From now until March 28th we are going to be selling Permanently Insane accounts for their regular price of $50. In addition we are selling Permanent Extra Userpics for $25. This will bring the userpic total of your Permanently Insane account to 500 for the life of your account.

And remember if you upgrade to Permanently Insane while you have a Self-Committed[paid] account, you can open a support request in the Accounts category to have your remaining paid time transfered to another account.

I thought you might like to know about Xpostulate, a crossposting blog client with support for LJ, InsaneJournal, deadjournal, dreamwidth, iziblog, scribbld, inksome, and wordpress, as well as tweeting to twitter and denting to identi.ca.
Xpostulate is free/open source software released under the GPL v. 3 or later, and written in Tcl/Tk.

I'd like to point out that I've been experiencing a very annoying, recurring problem with more than one IJ account: randomly, every day, quite a few of my icons (in comments and entries) are changed back to my default icon. =\

I tried creating a new journal today and I can't seem to get the confirmation email sent to me, though I've tried resending it. Are there issues with yahoo not receiving emails from IJ today?

There seems to be a sudden uptic in spam accounts this week. I've gotten 4 comments that were spam on various posts, even all the way back to 2004, all originating from this email-

wenmonan4572@gmail.com


Each spam comment was a different IJ, so it looks like whoever this is may have made quite a few in the last day or so.

just thought it would be helpful to note that someone with the email wenmonan4572 at gmail dot com has been propagating a lot of spam recently. this is the third day in a row i've gotten hit with spam from different accounts with that email, and when i check the comment counts they are up in the hundreds

i'm using hotmail and i've only been getting notifications from comments made in journals and not from any communities. the same thing happens if i'm using a gmail that forwards any and all emails to my main hotmail account, notifications from comments made in communities are the only ones that simply fail to arrive.

but. if i change the main email from one journal, be it a hotmail or gmail, the notifications stop working altogether, like they get lost on the way and they're simply not delivered at all. only if i re-add the original email to that journal will they start working again. but those notifications that should have technically been sent in the meantime, are still not anywhere to be found.

is there an "estimated time" until that email i just changed will be recognized by the site or is that bull? because even 3 days after email validation and all that, there was still nothing there. not even in the junk mail, and either way, i've had insanejournal on my "safe" list since you mentioned it a while ago. any idea what could be causing this?

i bought a rename about half an hour ago and i still haven't received it, although i got a confirmation from paypal and everything. it usually never takes this long, so is there something wrong with the renames lately?

I went to create an account a few minutes ago but the CAPTCHA didn't show up. I tried doing the audio version, but all that lead to was a page saying the audio didn't exist or something.

I can't even leave an anonymous comment anywhere since the CAPTCHA image is broken there, too.

Also, I don't know if you're super busy these days, but once you've killed the spambot and captcha problems, perhaps post about your awesome accomplishments so that people don't have a "Squeaky hasn't posted to announcements for over a month! Having notification issues across the board in some journals. Some will get the original comment, but not the replied to comments, some won't get the original comment but the follow up ones only. All are through gmail.
