I have been searching the site today to try to find references to the old email code that was causing some site emails to go to old addresses. I think I got it all. If you still get any emails going to the wrong address let me know here.

Also if you run into any new site errors let me know here as well.

    Squeaky, there seems to be an issue with posting comments and entries on a lot of my journals. I don't even know if this will work.

    A lot of comments, entries, replies and so on have been getting deleted for no reason at all.

        No, it's across various accounts of mine. I've noticed it in four different entries for four different accounts, as well as in a couple communities. No one else has access to my computer.

        Also, I've made a mention of it before here and its happened to others as well.

          When it happens are there comments attached to it?

          Could you make a support ticket when the entry goes missing (if anyone has the link to the entry) Squeaky is trying to compile information on this since so many are experiencing this.

            Sometimes there are, sometimes it'll just delete all the comments and leave the entry there. When they're friends-locked it's not been happening as much but if it happens again I'll open one.

              Are you the community leader?

              How many others have access to the entries of the community.

              Is the original owner deleting their own entry?

                It was a personal psl journal between me and another player, neither of us were deleting the entry, and we moved to a community so we could log things more easily so I could lj-archive them for safe keeping, but they're still being deleted. We're the only members of the community, and neither of us are deleting any of it. I have some instances where I'll have the reply open and I'm looking at it, but when I go to reply the tag will be gone in a 10 minute window.

                  When it happens again, could you please open a ticket with all the info you posted here?

                  I'm going to save this reply in a folder so when I see this posted.

                  Or if someone else posts it, I can ask these questions to get more info.

                    Do you want them when it happens in single comments as well? Since locking them that's been the only major problem.

                      Yes that would be good.

                      Especially if you have links to the comments before being deleted.

                      Does it ever happen when the post is unlocked?

                        It happens more often when they're unlocked. Originally I thought it was just the journals so we switched journals but that didn't stop it, and then it started to happen over other journals as well. The major problem I'm also getting is that I'm not getting sent notifs from the community so I don't have links to the comments before they're deleted or not.

                          Sorry for butting in, but do you have it set up to receive notifs from the community? That's not the default, you have to set it.

                            Yes, they're comments to comments I've made and I just doubled checked and I'm receiving all of those.

    I have a question. Is it a known issue that mods aren't receiving emails when someone requests to join their communities or is this a new issue?

    Is anybody else having trouble with previewing icons? I keep getting icons for other journals, or not even being able to preview icons at all, and I can't tell if it's just my computer or something with the site.

    Okay. So I've posted about this before, but the site keeps logging me out. I cleared my cookies like it was suggested but that didn't work. Any ideas? I log in and click the remember me link every time I sign in. Then I could be working on a journal entry or something for a period of time and it'll just sign me out. Without me even leaving the page.

    I'm currently using safari 4.0.2 and can't see certain journals.. they will show up as only blank pages (http://mistyr.insanejournal.com/ and http://soconvinced.insanejournal.com/ are examples of journals that show up as blank pages). I'm guessing it's something with the coding? I can see the journals using firefox.

    I still get them for my communities and for my other journal color me too lazy to sign in, but the journals are springsmods and ishotaclown and

    As someone above mentioned, I'm having problems with being logged out. It's been happening for awhile, usually late evenings pacific time, and it's really random. Sometimes I'll comment someone, or I'll be trying to write a post, and suddenly I'm logged out. It's never a case of me being idle for any length of time. Also, recently, it happens almost every time I used a friends-add button. Luckily firefox saves everything for me if I'm writing an entry but it's still an annoyance.

    I am not getting ANY email notifications, at all. I've tried switching between hotmail, yahoo, and gmail, and still nothing. They aren't even going to my junkmail, because I've been checking that, too.
