We are aware that a number of users are having issues receiving their InsaneJournal email from hotmail. I have been monitoring the InsaneJournal mail logs and I see that hotmail is accepting our mail but it is never reaching users' inboxes. I am trying to open a line of communication with them but it is proving difficult.

    Has the problem with Yahoo and email notifications been resolved, or no?

    It's a problem on Hotmail's end, then? Will it make a difference for us to contact Hotmail about it, too? (And if so, anything in specific we should mention other than "let the lj_dontreply@insanejournal.com mails through, &"ยค#!%!" ?)

    Grr, stupid Hotmail. I hate when it does this to me.

    It does it quite often with Yahoo group mails. After so long it gets tired of them and starts bouncing e-mails.

    Thanks for looking into it XD Until then I guess I'll switch e-mail accounts.

    i hate to keep being such a bother but the lost password emails for [info]crucio (which you said you reset the email address for) still don't seem to be sending to my aol email :-( i don't know if it's because of the problems you all have been having with getting stuff through to those email addresses or what, but i'm not having any issues with my gmail. is there any way you could reset the username to my gmail address instead of the aol email address so that i can finally recieve the stinkin lost password emails? i understand if you can't :-[ just let me know. thanks!!

    This started happening with LJ a long time ago, but at the time I didn't care. I could live without the LJ e-mails. I can't live without the IJ e-mails! I just sent a complaint to Windows Live hotmail, not that it will do much good, but I sent it.

    FYI for everyone, if you have a separate e-mail address, you can forward that e-mail directly to your hotmail and IJ e-mails can get through. That way, I can still just check my hotmail and get my IJ e-mails through. I just tested it, and it worked.

    this has nothing to do with the post, but do you have any idea when ij will stop eating the comments on my posts? it's getting really frustrating and it's happened quite a few times now

    I appreciate the open lines of communication! :) We've just moved our RPG to InsaneJournal after 3.5 years at GreatestJournal. Your service has made it an easy transition.
