I see we have had another influx of new users here at InsaneJournal. It appears that a lot of you aren't very happy with the announcement over at our competition. I do have to thank all of you, a number of you have already taken advantage of our low cost upgraded accounts, and we really and truly do appreciate your generosity.

I do want to take the time to let you know that InsaneJournal has not ever been in talks with anyone to purchase the site, nor do we foresee there being any interest from either myself or any outside party to acquire this site. I have been running InsaneJournal for the past 6 years and love this site and respect all of our users.

I am going to also take this space to announce that starting today. We are going to be having a week long christmas sale. Until next monday we will be offering Permanently Insane accounts for $35, and we will be offering 12 month Self-Committed[paid] accounts for only $15. Head over to the Insane Journal Store and buy yourself or a friend an upgraded account.

    Thanks so much. Mostly because I really dont want to loose all the friends that I made while having my other journal site. Now that it looks like more nails have been placed into the coffin, I hope that I can bring more people over here for my benefit and yours.

    This year has been a sucktacular one for me but I know I wish I could be permanently insane. Soon, soon.......

    Hello squeaky.

    I just thought I'd drop by to introduce myself to you and let you know that you've given asylum to yet another blogger whose uncomfortable supporting a service concerning free speech that belongs to group of governed by Putin of all people.

    I did a lot of research and thinking before making this decision and I finally decided on InsaneJournal because you answered everybody's comments on this post. Thats.....very above and beyond the type of costumer service/respect/sense of community then I've become accustomed to at other places.

    I was very nervous at first about going from a community with such a huge population to here but all of the positive comments I've heard about this place has helped to reassure me that this is the right decision for me.

    So thank you for being here and providing everyone such a nice and comfortable home to share our thoughts and dreams.

    Hi, [info]squeaky! I'm considering buying a Permanent account here, and after careful reading of the FAQ, can't quite figure out a couple of things.

    Permanent account holders get 300 icons, right? And if I buy extra icon spaces, how many would that get me? (I *love* icons, heh.)

      You would have a total of 500 if you bought Permanent Extra Userpics.

    First, thank you so much for all your hard work. I join everyone in thanking you for providing this important service and being so open about it.

    However, I am concerned about this issue, which I read here:

    Wow that's a good deal. Now if I had the money I'd get myself a permanant account. Sadly as a single dad and a sick infant needing medication I'll probably have to pass. I hope to nab an account someday as the price is still good. I love the site here.

    This is great, along with your working with GJ. For that, your site has earned my purchasing a Permanent Insane (+ pics! must have the icons! We loves the iconsess, preciousss) for a fiction journal I had moved here after getting uneasy over yonder.

    I've pretty much moved here though on the fence about keeping my journal elsewither--it's hard pulling up stakes, but with you so welcoming and just the whole friendly vibe here...

    I definitely like it, and wanted to do what I could to help. Anyhow, thank you for making so many of us 'refugees' and future 'refugees' welcome here.

    Eheh, what with all the upheaval over there, I've been pondering whether to set up shop somewhere else in advance. You know, just in case. But $35 for a permanent account? Yeah, made my mind up for me. You know I'll be whoring IJ out like mad every chance I get. XD

    Let me just make sure I'm understanding this right. Permanently insane accounts are 35 until Monday and having one of those means you only pay once and you're committed for life (or until the site dies)?

    I'm a bit late to this thread, but I wanted to let you know, squeaky, that you're a class act. :) 1 week ago I was looking all over LJ trying to figure out what the frilly heck they'd decided to do this time. I later remembered some friends having mentioned Insane Journal and I'm very glad I decided to check you out based on their recs.

    The time you've taken to personally reply to comments from new users and your graciousness in welcoming them is pretty impressive and a breath of fresh air. I wish you every success with growing IJ--you deserve it.

    I just took the plunge and went 'permanently insane'. But at the beginning of the month, someone bought me 6 months paid user time. Can I transfer that paid time to another journal?
