The InsaneJournal administrators have been working hard to implement new features and enhance existing ones in order to make the IJ experience one that people will want to use.
We are always looking for new users, so if you know anyone who you would like to come to IJ, let them know using the Invite A Friend! feature. This will send an email to your friend letting them know what IJ is all about. In addition if they use the link provided in the email they will automatically add you to their friends list when they join.
Do you have a friend who used to use IJ, but hasn't updated in awhile, you can use the Nudge a Friend feature to send them an email reminding them to update their journal.
Do you use the IJ Mobile interface to access the site with your WAP browser? If so you can now create a new filter for your friends. Just name it "Mobile View" (without the quotes) and only the friends listed in that filter will show up on your mobile friends page
We have also improved our spell check feature so it doesn't throw spelling errors on HTML and a few other words. If you have any words you would like added to the dictionary, open a support request and our site administrators will consider the request.
And the biggest news of all is that in response to demand from users and in effort to stay competitive with other journal sites on the Internet, we have decided to raise the limits on our userpictures.
The file size limit has been raised from 40k to a whopping 100k per image. Now you can have more detailed pictures or even longer animations.
Also below are the new limits for the number of userpictures per account type:
Free Patient - 100
Early Inmate- 150
Self-Committed - 250
Permanently Insane - 300
Extra Userpics - 500
Remember Extra Userpics are only available as an add on feature to Self-Committed and Permanently Insane accounts. Visit the InsaneJournal Store to purchase account upgrades.
