Hi everyone, we are aware that the site has been having brief outages all night. We haven't found a cause yet but suspect spammers or a bad search engine crawler is overloading the site.

We have started some additional logging to try to catch what is going on as every time I get an alert and get in, things look fine.

  Thank you so much for all you do! Do you know when we’ll see a fix for the login cookie issue? It’s been a little over a month and I’m still getting logged out every other (or every third) comment, and I’ve already tried clearing my cache/cookies in the two browsers I have (chrome and Safari), and deleting and reinstalling chrome. It happens in multiple journals, and also on both desktop and mobile, so I’m really not sure what I can do to fix it.

  Is there any sort of ETA on when this login cookie glitch is going to get fixed? It's a minor inconvenience obviously but it's becoming stupidly tedious to keep having to continuously log in again and again after being able to comment once or twice before getting kicked out.
