I've been looking everywhere but I can't seem to find a tutorial anywhere -- how do you add color effects to a gif? I've seen some gifs in black and white, some with brightness added to it, etc. Thanks!

I have a question for you gif makers that use text. Is there an easy way to add text when you use Animation Shop? Or ImageReady CS? Because I've tried and I've failed. Thank you for any help!
