"It isn't something that would prevent angels from getting near you at all. It's just something that hides you from being found. That's why I carried a cell phone back at home." He clarified. "I would call ahead to find out where Sam and Dean where if I were separated from them and needed to find them. The only difference would be that your 'Auntie' Gabriel wouldn't be able to give you a surprise visit."
The sudden explosion of anger was startling, and he sat rigidly back again, any loosening of his posture instantly reversing itself. On one hand, it struck him as a good thing that she was venting. He still felt that he deserved to be yelled at more than her family here did, and he had offered to simply take it if she wanted to yell. He couldn't help feeling a bit angry for her as her release of emotions continued though. He could not understand why his other self had kept this information from her, but he knew precisely what it was like to be on the other end of the Winchesters' annoying habit of keeping information close to their chests.
He waited for her to finish, or at least take a breather in her yelling, before finally speaking in response. "Of course I'm not happy. I didn't even know about that last part. Things in my world are different, but I know from speaking with your father that up to a point, at least, Lucifer's behavior has been consistent. He has been the way he is since before humanity existed, Claire. No amount of understanding will change him. I had to ruin your view of him. He's dangerous, and nothing will change that. He doesn't care about you. He never will, as long as you are human. He cares about god, and some of our brothers, in his way, but that won't change anything either."
"I don't know why your father kept this information from you. I don't think it was intended to be a big secret- he seemed perfectly willing to tell you, and just agreed to accept the favor when I offered to do it. As for the Winchesters... I don't know your Sam and Dean well, but what I do know seems to indicate that their basic nature never really differs. They hide things that they think will hurt each other. They lie and they keep secrets, out of love. It is not a good trait, and I fear it's one I've started to pick up from them, so that could easily be true of your father as well." He went quiet again, thinking. He could understand perfectly now why she might not want to go home. "I won't force you to go home if you don't feel ready to face them, but I won't leave you without protection. I can stay with you, or you can contact your Aunt Gabriel. You don't seem angry with her, and she would be more than capable of keeping you safe. Perhaps you can stay with her while you think things through."
