In all honesty, Hanzo had been moved by Mercy's words most of all, and a little overwhelmed, but pleased, with Tracer's enthusiam for the idea of his joining them. It was not something he had been expecting from any of them, a part of why he had held back after his arrival here. He knew that forgiveness for Genji would take time, and that in the time before Genji, he had let his loyalty blind him to any number of things that had contributed toward allowing the Shimada empire to grow accordingly. At the time, he'd thought it the right thing, but after Genji, there was only sorrow to be found there, and everyone reaped the seeds that they had sown throughout the world. His was a legacy that was larger, more dangerous, and more painful than most.
Still, his brother's words of forgiveness had woven through his head, along with the urging to forgive himself. Hanzo doubted that last one was ever possible, but in place of forgiveness, he could still do what he might to set things right again, to find redemption, if there was nothing else. That was the first step toward honor and restoring it, not for his family, this time, but for himself. Maybe in time, with working among the others in this world, that could come too, but for the moment, he would settle for the chance at being accepted.
For the moment, Hanzo had tugged back his hair, found something casual to wear, and tossed on an arm guard and glove, his bow shouldered on his back, next to a quiver, in case they'd wish a demonstration, and headed for the arranged meeting with the Overwatch crew, hoping the formalities worked well. If they didn't. well. it was still possible to work on saving the world, but he tried to be hopeful anyway, clearing his throat as he turned to meet them.
"I believe you must have questions that I will do my best to answer." he said, by way of greeting.
"Shall I begin there?"
