Sam wasn't sure why Blaine had asked him to come over, but he went. Sam wasn't sure what was going to be happen, but he had agreed to go. Sam got there a little later than he had intended, and he'd gotten something for them to eat. Blaine had asked for Burger King. Sam had been surprised, but he'd agreed to bring him some. Sam let himself in, Blaine had given him a key for easy entry. He headed for the bedroom, where he knew Blaine was. Sam went to hand him his bag of food. Sam sat down on the bed with him. Sam had been thinking about Blaine a lot lately. He didn't know if Blaine ever thought about him like Sam thought about him. Sam doubted it. He had just been keeping Blaine warm for Kurt during their breakup. It didn't make him feel any better, but Sam had to admit that he didn't regret anything. That was pointless. You couldn't go back and change things. "How are you feeling, babe?" The endearment slipped out before he could stop it.
Blaine took the bag and sniffed it carefully. Blaine wanted to try and eat it. He hadn't gotten to eat much actual food lately. Blaine took out his hamburger and took it out of the wrapper. Blaine was getting too thin. And he knew that. Blaine took a sip of his drink, letting the cold Coke hit his throat. It felt good, he thought he might have a cold. Blaine considered Sam's question. He had noticed the pet name, too. Blaine didn't think it would matter if he told him not to say anything like that. Blaine supposed it didn't really hurt. "I haven't been able to eat much today. I hope that I can get to eat this." Blaine wasn't sure what else to say to him. They had been full of very awkward moments lately. Blaine took a very tiny bite of his burger, just testing to see if he could hold it down. Blaine was wearing a scarf to hide his bald head. Everytime he got some growth back it fell out again. Blaine didn't know how he was ever going to have his hair back the way it had been. Blaine watched as Sam got out his own food. Blaine had not wanted to spend the day alone while Kurt was working.
It might be unfair, the way Blaine was leaning on him. Sam wasn't sure that he minded too much, though. Sam loved Blaine very much. He couldn't help himself. He had gotten a chicken sandwich for himself and some fries. Sam was sorry that Blaine had been sick that day. He wished that he could wave a wand and make Blaine feel better. He took a bite and watched Blaine out of the corner of his eye. Blaine seemed to be eating okay so far but that didn't mean much. It could still end up coming back up. Sam just hoped that it wouldn't. Sam's blonde hair fell over his forehead. He had been wanting to kiss Blaine a lot lately. He knew that was wrong. He still couldn't help himself. Sam knew not to bring it up though. The last time he'd tried to do anything like that it had caused a big dust up. Sam hated that. He wanted to make up for it and wasn't sure that he ever could. Sam didn't want to give up. He picked up a fry and took a bite. "I'm sorry that you were sick today Blaine honey." Sam gave him a weak smile. He didn't want to pressure him to talk if he didn't have to. Sam didn't know if it would upset him or not and he didn't want to upset him if he didn't have to. Sam hated to hurt Blaine, it was like hurting a puppy.
"I hate it when I'm sick." Blaine said, taking another sip of his drink. It tasted so good. Blaine loved it so much. He was glad that he seemed to be holding this all down. That was really good. He was always cold, and that was because he was too thin. Blaine was tired of being so thin. He was bundled up right now in an OSU sweatshirt and pants, and covered with blankets. Blaine hated to be cold. It was the worst. He watched Sam's lips, it was burned on his brain, the memory of those lips on his. Blaine wondered where that was coming from. He hadn't imagined that in a very long time. It was so weird, too, because Sam was from the future. The not so distant future, but the future nonetheless. Blaine licked his lips nervously. He wasn't sure why he was so nervous. It was just Sam. His Sam. Sammy. Blaine heaved a sigh. He wanted to marry Kurt, he really did, but there was a part of him that still had feelings for Sam. He wasn't sure why he still felt that way. Blaine scratched his chin. "I'm glad you came over." He said finally. And he was. Blaine took another bite of his burger. He was just hoping that it would stay down.
Sam nodded, not trusting himself to talk. He watched Blaine eat slowly. He was glad to be there for him. That was when he leaned over and pressed his lips to Blaine's. Why, he wasn't sure.
Blaine was surprised and taken back, but he found himself kissing back. He wasn't sure why. His eyes were closed, he could almost imagine it was Kurt. That's when the kiss deepened, and Blaine forgot it all. Didn't hear the key in the lock.
