“I love you too.” She whispered softly, letting her head rest against his for a brief moment as if to familiarize herself with his scent. Once they walked into the kitchen, her smile widened to see the delighted look on his face when he gazed at the table. It was rare for her to cook since Damon was far better than she ever was, but she never minded him doing so or spoiling her for that matter.
“I hope it tastes as good as it looks. I could cook you dinner more often if you like.” She giggled as he kissed the top of her head and took a seat at the table. Taking the bottle of bourbon, she slid it toward him so he could open it. She then took her own fork and took a bite.
