"Like magic, magic." Meghan laughed a bit. "Not all of it is bad at home. They don't much like mages but...my cousin is one. She studies with Messere Strange, actually." She added. "I don't understand much about how it ALL works, but...she's better at it now, she says. Apparently it was uncontrolled for a while. It sounds like a nice place to visit. There's a ghost dog, I ken, among other things."
And she nodded at that part. Meghan didn't want to pry but, in a way it was almost...comforting to know there was someone who might be missing parents too. Her father might be here, but they hadn't really spoken much since she'd gotten here, and she'd been...five during the coup and did miss her mother and, well, her papa, though trying to explain that one might not be so easy.
"That sounds rather quiet. Here it's a fair few of us. Prince Sebastian, my uncle, owns the place, and there's his husband, Ser Noah, my cousin Aedan, and then Uncle Calum and THEIR uncle who's arrived...not so long ago, then Da and I. Ellie's through on the weekends, sometimes. And Aedan's got an apprentice but...we're not meant to talk much about his...they'll say it's no a cult, but sounds like one to me. Not a horrible one, but if it looks like a duck, eh? It was...a bit to get used to. I'd grown up in a smaller village on the outskirts of our city. I remembered the past, but didn't think I would return to those people or anything like it. To be fair, they were all dead at home. Well, Prince Sebastian wasn't, and was younger then, and met Ser Noah here, but..." She shrugged a little. "It can get wild at times."
