"It's fairly so for a good deal of us." Emmett agreed cheerfully. "It was 1888 when I was last in my universe. For my aunt here, it was 1868...but my father, who is her twin, mind you, is also from '88. And we have our founder from Ancient Egypt...it's all a bit wild, really." And the thing where he wasn't human, but details. He led Five down toward the kitchen now, where a few of the group were inside, with boxes.
"This IS the pots and pans, I'm fairly sure." Ezio was saying as he reached to open one of a stacked number of boxes.
"You're blind. Or mad. I labeled them." Arno said, good naturedly, then turned as people came in.
"Oh hey, Em. And you've brought..." He studied Five, confused. "Is this one of your Rugby kids? I don't mean to assume gender roles, but I thought you mostly coached..."
"He's here for Shaun." Emmett said, interrupting THAT line of thought. "New recruit."
"That's...what?" Arno stared a minute. "Did Shaun suddenly change...everything? Is he all right in the head? Sorry." He added, turning to Five. "It's just...a surprise. Most of our potential recruits are a little closer to their eighteenth birthday."
