"I mean I had a guy I sold to for the big bucks, until the professor and his friends found me. And dad would send money sometimes, but I think he was afraid of us." Which had been sad at the time, but he'd gotten over it since then. Given he had to look after his sisters and the like. Raising an eyebrow at the other's words, looking curious about Aed and his life, more or less.
"Yeah, that was how mom was. She was always mad when the cops came around. Or some irate store owner. Or the neighbors." Glancing away, grin forming at the memories of being yelled at, then stared at when he'd easily out run them with barley a blink of an eye.
"Something like that, yeah. I mean, I didn't do around the professor, because I actually like the guy, you know? Besides, he was helping me, and I could always just go to the mall if I wanted free shit." He added with a small nod, before his gaze became somber. More so at the idea of adults, at Erik and his broodiness.
"I think the guy just-didn't want to hurt the younger ones you know? Sometimes our powers uh, they can get out of control when were angry. I once saw Jean destroy an entire village with her power, and thats when she was just generally helping." Gesturing absently, he perked up slightly as he talked about his friends. "Erik's uh-he's cool though. You just gotta poke at him a little bit." He definitely pestered the guy a lot, but always got some weird confused grin out of him.
