"I mean, I think the professor was just happy I wanted to learn. Getting kicked out of normal people school can do that to you." Not that Xavier didn't do his best to help teach them normal stuff, but there was also the training, the power studying, mutant science...all kinds of stuff 'normal' schools wouldn't have. Nodding slightly, he shrugged at the idea of police in general. "My mom usually just had to end up writing checks for stuff I took. They could never actually prove it was me and all." He grinned as if the idea itself was amusing.
"Its more like...sometimes stuff calls to me. You ever get that way? I never did it at Xavs place, to much respect for the guy. But stores and shit...there's always something I gotta have. Plus its fun, nobody's gonna believe that a blurr of motion stole their stuff and shit." Which was hilarious to him. Most people thought of mutants as people like Erik and Xavier not...anyone like him, really.
"I mean some of them look scary. I knew a few kids who had these cool volcano appendages-"Pausing, he gestured, before falling silent when the other spoke of Erik. Biting his lip as he glanced away nervously. "Mags is uh. He's pretty cool. Strong silent type but the few times I've helped with stuff, he's been sort nice to us. He stares a lot though. But I think he's just trying to figure out how to be nice to the kids and all."
