Even though he was getting a firm yelling at for actions he didn't remember committing, Marc was glad that Cathal was talking to him and then looking at him when the door was open. It was the angriest he'd seen the other and honestly, if he weren't an Alpha wolf he'd be scared.
"It wasn't me," he tried. Marc's words didn't seem to be helping and he was frowning at the fact that Cath wasn't listening. But then he hit him like he'd suggested.
It threw Marc off, jostled him enough that he stumbled and grabbed his face. He forgot how strong Cath was. Wincing, Marc was going to try and get him understand. Even if it meant getting hit until Cath felt better and would really listen. "I haven't been here. I only showed up a week ago! That wasn't the same me."
