The cookies were dead amazing, Emmett would give them credit here for that much. And, since there was no way out of this, he figured that he might as well just...play along. Be cooperative, agree to everything people told him during this...whatever it was therapy session and get back to his life, right?
If it got Shaun off his ass about how annoying he'd apparently been lately, why not just go with it, huh? Well, to a point.
He did snort at the alarm thing. "Been THERE, trust me. You don't want to see our flat some mornings. Chaos is not the word." As for the question, well...
"I mean, I love being tricked into stuff I didn't agree to at the last second, but it could be worse. No one's left me to fend for myself just yet."
And then he realized what he'd said, just as Jacob flinched, and okay, Emmett frowned.
"Wow, sorry. That was NOT supposed to be out loud. Last time he tricked me into something, it was being sent away without so much as a proper goodbye. Bitter, I guess. Sue me."
