Padme nodded her head in agreement to Anakin's words. "I don't think we truly were free. I'm grateful that someone saved you,but it's like you said, you went from being a slave to a solider. There is no freedom in that really." She could see he identified with a lot of what they were talking about, especially with how Qui-Gon saved him.
She could tell that he felt guilty. She didn't need a bond to tell her that. She could see it on his face as she looked at him. The future was not written in stone, and while Anakin could not save many, he was able to save Ahsoka. That was the important thing, and he needed to know that he could not save everyone.
As they stared in each other's eyes, her smile widened, seeing the intense way he was looking at her, noticing her excitement. Yes there was something different and it wasn't just the fact she was reunited with Anakin again. She knew he would zero in on it the longer he focused.
There it was. His realization. He now knew.
"I am." Padme laughed as she saw his face go from stunned to overjoyed in about two seconds, processing what she told him. Her arms went around him as he scooped her up into his arms for yet another hug.
"Yes, Ani that is what you felt. I know there is something brighter about me and I was womdering when you would find it. Something NEW. It's our child." Her smile could light up a room due to her happiness, eyes shining as she looked at him. "Back home we could never have this. It would have been too risky with you a Jedi and me a Senator. But here? We have all the time in the world to figure it out. I am not sure, but my guess is a few weeks or more."
