He wasn't trying to hide or avoid Cathal. It just so happened that between working down at the bookshop and checking up on everyone, his time was all chewed up. Sometimes Marc saw him at night and said a few words or got into bed really late, but beyond that there wasn't much. He didn't know what to say. Everything felt so worked out and okay before. And now it was just a mess. From Theo's tiny abode in the backyard, Marc swore he heard glass breaking and frowned. He paused, looked at Theo - who didn't seem to hear it - and said he'd be back. Liam, who took to following Marc around with a sad little expression when he was home, moved to follow and he patted the dog. "No, you stay pal. Play with little Diana." Because Theo's dog was bouncing around trying to get Liam's attention. Marc made sure to pull the door shut and headed to the back door of the house that was left open and poked his head in, cautiously looking around. The place was looking a little more...messy than he remembered seeing it in the morning. More than messy, really. The couch was upside down and in the dining room. Surprised by the sight, his brow shot up as he stepped inside. "Done now? Feel better?" Because it had to be either Cathal or Nora that was the culprit. |
