Re: (At some point later)
"That could explain...well, a lot." Hans shifts a little. "I AM interested to see what you do, actually. I've..."
Being honest is still strange, but he's opting for it with Balthier. He owes him that sincerity, even if a part of Hans doesn't know what he's doing or if he's truly capable of it.
"It's good to learn what you have happening, in the way of skills, not to just ride roughshod over you and expect you to fall in line with the status quo inside my head. I'm TIRED of doing that to people."
He laughs at the image there. "Why do I think there are people who would manage quite reasonably with those? I WAS briefly engaged to someone like that."
He looks grateful at the mention of the wall. It's a weakness, and it'll hurt him later, no doubt, when someone finds out about it, even if Balthier doesn't directly say it to anyone, there are always ways to get people to spill details, but it's still kind and Hans is still inclined to go with it, for now.
"I've seen those." He nods. "Mostly with the curved, you want to be on horseback, don't you? Easier to swipe down and.." He makes the gesture.
