It wasn't as if Jack hadn't seen a mall before. And it wasn't the first time he'd found himself out of place in one. He wasn't so out of touch. He stood admist the people passing him on one side and the other, giving him no notice, as if strange people coming out of mid-air was a common thing. He pursed his lips together and looked around, watching people walk past, talking to their friends and he reached up to touch his comm. Of course it's not working, he thought with a heavy sigh. He listened to the voices around him, listening intently as if to pick up where he had gotten stuck in. Was this a parallel universe? Surely not. On the parallel universe he was good and truly dead and what a paradox that would cause.
He folded his arms over his chest and saw movement out of the corner of his eye. He looked momentarily before going back to what he was looking at until his gaze was brought back to the woman who was giving him the eye. He couldn't stop the smirk that crossed his lips as he dropped his arms. Well, she certainly has the aura of a different time ... He couldn't put his finger on it. Royalty perhaps? She was looking at him as if she wanted him to make the first move. That was definitely indicative of some kind of royalty. But from where?
Jack took a few steps over. "Excuse me," he didn't know what title to address her as. "Madam," he continued. "Do you know where the hell I am?"
