It was better no one pointed out how he wasn't ''chill''. Right now, Sam was living in denial land. It was easier to live in denial land, than to settle on the gravity of what was going on. Like how they were in a place they still hadn't figured out, not knowing it was some sort of an alternate dimension or whatever, and they may not make it home again anytime soon. The mutant stuff, he could handle. It was the unknown of what this place was, and what was going on, that helped set him on edge to make him a little more freaked out than he had been earlier on. He knew he was a complete spaz at times, but he'd been trying to keep it in check as much as he possibly could. That way instead of being rendered useless in this situation, he could figure things out as they went along.
The fireworks show was pretty high up there on the coolest thing he'd ever seen. It was below seeing Bumblee be turn from a car into a robot for the first time, and meeting the other Autobots. His expression was wide eyed, as he watched the color show, and he had to bite his tongue to keep from asking her to do it again. It was rude to do that, and she had only done it after all, to show that she wasn't a total anger management case. That her atom bomb status was because she could create fireworks.
"Freakin' sweet..," was Sam's murmured words in time with Mikaela's 'sick'. It was safe to say that he was amazed. He wasn't freaking out. He was far from freaking out. Instead, he was impressed. Awed. Amazed. There wasn't enough words to really describe his reaction right now. Mostly because in addition to meeting alien robots and becoming friends with him, he now knew a mutant. That was.. any nerd guy like himself's dream come true. He tried to downplay his nerd status the best he could, because it wasn't cool to be a nerd but it was awesome to know that the things he used to read about from time to time were real and not just science fiction.
"No, that's awesome," he added quickly to reassure Jubilee that he and Mikaela both weren't freaking out. "You're a real life mutant. You're out of a real life comic book or something. Do you have code names and all that?," he asked excitedly, showing with his reaction he thought this was pretty much one of the coolest things ever. Someone should sedate the poor boy. He might pass out from how cool all this happened to be.
