Mikaela scoffed lightly when Sam assured their newest acquaintance he was "chill". Sam was rarely chill. Yeah, he was more like the opposite of chill. A total spaz of too much energy that shouldn't be contained into one teenage boy. Even still, she didn't verbally rain on his parade about how "not chill" he really was in her opinion.
She kinda stepped into the background, letting Sam and Jubilee exchange war stories. He was more the expert on their strange situation. She was more like the love interest or something else kinda boring -- or y'know she would be if their life had been a movie or some weird crap like that.
When the duo got a free fireworks show, Mikaela was the opposite of freaking out. Instead, she seemed in awe of the mutant's trick. "Sick...," she murmured as she watched the brief color show. Now Jubilee totally owed her a fireworks show.
"Freak out?," she echoed Jubilee's word in a questioning tone. A tone that said : why the hell would we freak out?
"We've been run down by alien robots trying to eat us for breakfast," she reasoned, cursing herself momentarily for mentioning food again. Sam so owed her dinner for all this, "So, knowing you're just a friendly, neighborhood mutant doesn't really bother us." Or it didn't bother her. And she was the one more freaked out when they learned about the existence of Autobots and Decepticons. If anything, Sam was probably getting his nerd on at the idea of friendly mutants. Kinda made their knowledge of sentient beings from another planet seem like your average front page material when you got down to it.
