So long as they didn't have to cover the fact that the rearranging the bathroom excuse was just an excuse in front of Jubilee, that was fine by him. Actually, no it wasn't. He didn't want to go over it at all. Because he wished he had come up with something a little more believable. And a little less suspicious. He usually was good at thinking on his feet, so it was an unfortunate side effect of his stupidity at the moment, that he couldn't come up with something that didn't sound completely idiotic. At least neither of them laughed at him in his faced or anything. That was a plus. It meant that they could allow the excuse to fly for politeness sake, and pretend he didn't make a complete fool of himself.
"I didn't save the world. I just.. helped a little. Barely. In securing the situation," he corrected, trying to give Mikaela a look of 'do we have to talk about this?' because while he knew she didn't care about what the government said, he did. He didn't know what they were capable of, he was sure that the stuff with Sector Seven was only just a taste of what they were capable of. So he really didn't want to go there. He was more than willing to keep it a secret, because at least it meant that he could live a normal life, with.. a couple of not-so-normal perks to it. Like 'Bee and the rest of the Autobots. He just didn't want them getting snatched up, and taken to a laboratory and experimented on. It was bad enough seeing it happen to Bumblebee the first time around, being taken against his will. He would not be responsible for it happening a second time.
"Nononono..," he groaned a bit, following it with a quick laugh a moment later. "What she means is, that..," he started, before looking to Mikaela, "Have you been watching too much late night television lately?," he asked with a frown, buying himself some time to come up with the proper excuse for this. He wasn't going down the route he did in terms of his trying to cover up his happy time, in dealing with this. He didn't know if Jubilee would think they were complete psychos, after all. And if he couldn't even tell Miles about what happened? He wasn't sure if they should just be telling anyone they just met about this. Even his parents acted like they didn't know about what truly happened with the Autobots and Decepticons. So that made things a little easier at home.
"She means that some super secret government technology got loose, and we um, helped.. deactivate it. It was nothing, really. Just a little bit of running and shoving a power source through it," he half-lied, telling bits of the truth in what happened in Mission City, just not giving away the fact that he shoved the All Spark Cube, a source of life for the Autobots, something they wanted to use to return life to their planet, into Megatron's chest, to keep him from beating Optimus.
