After finally getting a grip on that whole alien robot thing, Mikaela could probably take the news Jubilee was a mutant. As long as she was, like, a friendly mutant. And so far, she seemed pretty cool. Since the newest addition to the blue-eyed girl's life wasn't trying to kill her off or demand to know where some of Sam's eBay crap is, Mikaela figured they could probably become friends.
"Yeah," she found herself saying, even if it still felt kinda weird to say out loud considering her boy choices of the past, "But, don't hold that against me or anything." A grin gracing her pretty features, it was obvious she was only joking. It would be kinda messed up if she was really ragging on her new boyfriend already like she was embarrassed of him.
Immediately, she made sure to point out Sam's good qualities, "He's probably one of the strangest boys I've ever met, but considering my track list? That's probably a good thing. He's a real great guy. Kinda hard to resist a guy who can put "saved the world" on his resume, y'know?"
A soft smile find her lips as she turned her gaze to her newest companion, showing despite her original words, she did care for Sam and held him in high respect. Kinda hard not to knowing the assholes she knew who probably would have ran at the first sign of trouble instead of dealing with it as an adult probably would. Hell, better than some adults too.
