When Mikaela went toward one of the cracks in the ground, Sam wanted to caution her. Tell her to y'know be careful or something. And not get too close to the cracks in the ground. It wasn't like they knew what had happened here, after all. Who knows what sorts of things could come out of that hole? Or, what caused it, to get down to it. It was possible that what had caused it wasn't as simple as an earthquake. Then again, it apparently was, but it wasn't like they knew that. They showed up after the fact, after all. So they kind of just had to go by sight here, and hope that what they were seeing wasn't more than meets the eye. He would hate to know that the hole that Mikaela was currently knelt down near was something that had been created by beings worse than the Decepticons. He shivered at the thought, because he didn't think there really was anything worse than the Decepticons.
"Too bad 'Bee or Optimus aren't around. They'd at least be able to tell us something. Y'know, like.. where we are. And how the hell we got here," he said with a sigh, as his mind lifted from the fog it'd been in, and he glanced around once more, trying to see if there was anyone else out there, walking the streets. He was probably stating the obvious, but he had to at least mention how much they didn't know about what was going on. Not just the not knowing where they were, but the hows and the whys, as well. Before meeting the Autobots, he would have thought that his existence was pretty ordinary. Really very boring, actually. A typical, normal existence of a teenage boy. Not anyone worth randomly pulling into a strange place, anyway. So naturally his first guess wasn't they were pulled.. here, for any reason other than it was a fluke.
Sam moved closer to where Mikaela was kneeling, and offered her a hand to help her up, before speaking once more. "I guess not. We should probably.. figure out where we're at, first. Before we start trying to figure out how to get back home," he suggested, although so far, there weren't any signs or landmarks that would be dead give aways of where they might be. He didn't figure that going up and asking people randomly 'Do you know where we are?' would go over well, either. They would probably be like that police officer he spoke to after he saw 'Bee turn into a robot and do that bat signal thing that brought all the other Autobots to Earth, and wonder if they were on drugs or something. And he didn't really want to have that conversation with someone again.
