Sam had been hoping this wasn't a trick or something, from the Decepticons to get back at him for being the one to destroy their leader, Megatron. He didn't know how they worked, other than the fact that they'd tracked him down using the world wide web, through his EBay username. So he didn't know what they were capable of. For all he knew, they could be capable of pulling him away from school (and Bee) to get their revenge. Even if he wasn't sure what Decepticons were still around. There probably weren't that many, right? He hoped not. Maybe they would learn their lesson and not come back, and leave the Autobots alone. If only Sam knew that was an incredibly naive thought, and that one defeat wouldn't keep the Decepticons down for too long.
His gaze hadn't moved from the sky since he arrived in this new place, and that was probably a mistake, but he was in shock. Sure, alien robots that were having an epic battle between good and evil, that he could handle. But.. randomly ending up in a place that was completely unfamiliar to him? That, he couldn't. Because he was pretty sure his mom and dad were gonna freak when he didn't come home later. And if they believed the stuff about the Autobots and Decepticons, he was sure they wouldn't believe that he was pulled randomly to an unfamiliar place, and didn't know how to get back home for some reason! His parents could be cool sometimes, but they weren't that cool.
It was when he heard Mikaela's tone, he finally snapped himself out of his daze. Mostly because it was Mikaela speaking to him, and the other because he didn't expect to hear her voice. He figured she would be with Trent or something. Going on about how big his arms are, or how tight his abs happened to be. Not like he was jealous or anything.
"M.. Mikaela?," Sam asked in surprise, as he brought his eyes to her, having to close his mouth quickly to keep himself from drooling a little. He had probably seen her about a million times, but he couldn't help it that she had that effect on him or something. "What are you doing here?," he asked, the question blurting itself out of his mouth before he could think, because all he could think about was how she wasn't with Trent like he thought she would be. Even if he was more than happy to see a familiar face. Even if that familiar face didn't see him in the way that she saw Trent.
