Unlike the Jedi Knight, Padmé's fingers remained still, as she made sure to listen intently on his words. She too could be viewed as strange, but not for the same reasonings as he would. Both hands were rightfully intact for the Senator. What made her different than the others was her attire. Her fashions that would have fit right in with those of her same galaxy, now made her stick out from the others. It made more eyes fall upon her than those surrounding her, but she was admittedly used to such things. Being a former queen and now a senator, it was uncommon for eyes not to fall upon you. If gazes ignored your existence, it was probable you weren't doing something correctly.
Curious to his thoughts, the senator questioned, "Do you truly believe they are are not making the efforts to find out, or that they are just unsuccessful in all their attempts?" Surely his impatience said they weren't trying hard enough, but was it possible that other parts of his personality would see they were trying with all their might, just not getting the desired results?
"What do we know of Scorpina?"
Was it possible for them to negotiate with her? Did they have any form of contact with the being at all? While the monsters meant little to Anakin, they could be troublesome for others. Especially children and other such defenseless creatures. The monsters could not be written off as harmless when there were those who could indeed be harmed by them. Padmé would want to ensure safety for all of Angel Grove's people. Not just for those who could fight.
