Anakin drew away from her to sit upon the edge of the lone bed in the room, drumming on a leg with the false fingers of the mechanical limb that was hidden beneath the dark, leather glove he always wore to hide the arm he lost. It was a good thing he did, too, for the people of this city would likely freak out if they saw that not only was he missing an arm, but he had a robotic one to replace it. True, the people of Angel Grove had seen some pretty strange things over the years - from what he'd learned, at least - but Anakin could almost guarantee that he was stranger. Or had the ability to be, anyway.
"From what I've been able to gather, there was a war about year ago. Some lifeform called Dark Spector tried to invade the planet, but the Power Rangers stopped them. This town's a hot spot for such activity and has been for years, but the Rangers have always been around to protect it's citizens." He frowned. "They're not doing such a good job now. They don't know what's causing everyone to be brought here, nor have they made much of an effort to find out. They thought they got ride of all the forces that threatened this planet, but this one--" He held up a single finger on his gloved hand for emphasis. "--being, a woman named Scorpina, is still around and likes to send minions and monsters to terrorize."
Anakin snorted. The putties and the monsters were hardly worth the effort. Not a challenge at all. No, not for a Jedi Knight who was used to fighting Battle Droids and Dark Acolytes like Asajj Ventress and Sith Lords like Count Dooku. If he didn't know better, he'd think this was all some sort of elaborate joke.
