Anakin had to hold back from indulging his own urge to grin at her and take her in his arms, ever mindful of the open door at his back. But then, wasn't that the only thing stopping him? That open door with the risk of someone they didn't want to see them together in a non-professional way glimpsing something? How silly. And with a wave of his hand, he sovled this problem, pushing the door closed with the Force and locking it. Anyone who might walk in on them would have trouble getting in and would have to knock to gain entrance, thus giving the knight and politician time to separate and compose themselves. After all, he hadn't seen her in person in so long.
"Of course I'm safe, my angel," he said, allowing that grin to touch his features, going to her and pulling her into his arms in a loving embrace. "I missed you."
And as always, with Anakin, that concern came before the next one that crossed his mind, causing him to draw back enough to peer down at her pretty face. "...how did you get here?"
