Part of her knew she should get out of there as quickly as possible, as she knew he was doing something incredibly gross and wrong and if found, would be arrested. As would she, as the police would most likely consider her an accomplice to the crime.
Yet, she was rooted in the spot by his obvious glee at finding the rotting coffin and she found herself unable to move her eyes from the grotesque display.
Her mouth, on the other hand, was a different story.
"If I had the jurisdiction to arrest you, don't you think I would have done it by now?" she asked, tilting her head slightly in annoyance at his stupid question. "All I can do is determine guilt or innocence which, seeing as you are standing in a grave and actively digging it up? Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's already determined."
