Ashley kept the smile in place for him when he turned to look at her, glad that he'd finally moved of his own accord and spared her having to do something like grab his face and make him look at her. While she wouldn't have minded doing that, she also didn't like making him more uncomfortable than necessary and she knew that she made him uncomfortable at times. There was no denying there was something between them, but ever since the war ended and he'd gone back to KO-35 and she'd stayed on Earth...it was like someone hit the pause button and forgot to rewind and see that things had happened before. Maybe it was this whole mess of a situation affecting them.
Or, maybe she was being selfish for wanting to focus more on what may or may not be a relationship (she'd had worse delusions in the past) than getting people who didn't belong to this time, city, or planet back to where they came from.
"You dunno?" She pursed her lips in mock thought. "You dunno if you...want me to have the synthesizer fix you up something or see if you can beat me at a game of pool on the simudeck?"
