He was so far off he didn't even hear Ashley coming. Normally he was on his toes, but he was wracking his brain for ideas. He'd been that way all night, and still had nothing. Still was drawing a blank. Tensing slightly when she appeared, but quickly then relaxing he offered a faint smile. "It doesn't make any sense Ash." He leaned back in the chair, not fighting the lose embrace.
"I've thought about it backwards and forwards. Why haven't they tried to attack? What are they waiting for?" Or was it in their plan to make the two space rangers attack first out of impatience. He couldn't tell anymore. He was frustrated and he could feel a headache coming on.
