I'm going to be full out honest here.

Timing IS the sort of thing that can honestly make things hard later.
Like I'm pretty sure in my case we weren't ready.

I don't regret it for a second but things have come up that we never even thought we would be thinking about.

And well,it might have been better if we had done more waiting or even just...

well, put more effort into figuring out how we'd handle some of the weirder shit that's come our way.

I think there's a lot more in my case that we needed to talk about and have ironed out instead of this kind of...I feel like we're desperately trying to keep our heads above the water.

So I think, that's what I'd say. Saying yes now isn't really a bad thing when you love someone and know your life would be less without them

but saying yes and then not doing the homework and expecting things to fall into place is where problems happen.

I'd actually suggest that you sit down together and try to figure out where you stand on major issues before you're suddenly married and have things coming up out of nowhere.

And hey, just because you aren't ready for a marriage today doesn't mean you can't say yes. Long engagements ARE still a thing and maybe sometimes even better.

	I love her more than I have ever loved anyone. I really do. I just don't know that getting married is the best thing. At least, right now.
