It was a Saturday night, and rather than acting like a normal twenty-something, Summer was curled up on her couch, reading one of the new books she had bought earlier that day at Barnes and Noble. She had just started a new chapter when her text message alert on her phone went off. Dog-earing her page, Summer picked up her phone and saw that she had a message from Mark, who she had exchanged numbers with while they were at B&N.

A soap opera? She wondered what had happened in the last few hours for him to use that phrase. She texted back, Ya, I’m in my apartment. HAA 401. Come on over.
