Hazel enjoyed spending most of her days surrounded in greenery of all kinds, but that didn't mean there weren't some uniquely interesting challenges she faced with her current career choice. For one, it was incredibly obnoxious to watch her boss do something with the flowers that they didn't like, or use an incorrect treatment. It was almost as if they would scream out for Hazel, making it difficult to concentrate and move about her day. Of course, the owner knew to a certain extend that Hazel was a mutant, and accepted that fact, but something told the younger girl that her boss wouldn't take kindly to being told she was doing her job wrong. So she just had to deal, and she hated that.
Then there was the added difficulty of uncontrolled plant growth when she got too excited or emotional. Hell, sometimes it wasn't even her, it was just a response of the flowers she couldn't even control. Currently, she was freaking out over the fact the Saffron Crocus bulbs that Linda had gotten in over the weekend were currently blooming out of control, thanks to Hazel. And then the Calla lilies had taken her suggestion that they might look better pink quite literally.
"No, no, no," she scolded, tugging at her hair, her biggest issue with the incredibly expensive bulbs already putting roots down. "Come on, guys! You have to stop doing that. You're going to get me fired," she pleaded, willing them to shrink back down, even if they were being incredibly stubborn. The golden retriever puppy watched her curiously from his bed in the corner as he tried to take his afternoon nap.
"And don't even get me started on you," she said, her eyes turning to the lilies, narrowing in annoyance. "I said it might look nice, you didn't have to go and listen. Honestly, Linda is going to kill me..." She didn't even notice the fact someone had entered the shop and she was no longer alone in her minor freak out..
