Evening 1/23/17 Who: Summer James and Rebecca Cotes When: Monday evening, 1/23/17 Where: Grey Dog Coffee What: Book Club Rating: ...low? Status: Closed/Incomplete
Summer had to admit, of all the activities so far in New Haven, this was the one she had been looking forward to the most. Becca and Summer had discovered a shared love of books over the network, and had planned to meet up sometime to have a book club of sorts. Summer had texted Becca earlier that day, and the two of them agreed to meet up somewhere after their Trigger Control session.
Summer wrapped her coat tighter around herself to try to block out the wind. Unfortunately, it was slightly cooler that day than it had been the past few days, so she hurried to get to Grey Dog Coffee, the coffee shop she had chosen for the two of them to meet up. While she walked, Summer thought over the idea that Becca had mentioned in her text. Becca’s text had read “I was thinking we could pick a genre, maybe five books from that genre, and then maybe put out a message to others to see if they'd be interested in joining and have a vote on book.” As Summer had responded, she thought that it was a really good idea, and was trying to think if there was anyone off the top of her head who she thought might be interested in joining them.
Summer arrived at the coffee shop and breathed a sigh of relief as she entered the warm building. She placed her order and waited till her name was called to grab her drink and find two open seats next to each other. She took off her coat and sat down, grabbing her copy of The Death Cure, hoping to make a dent in the last few chapters before Becca arrived.
