I'm totally amazed by people who can invent baked-stuff alterations like yours and Laylah's and Kiwi's that actually turns out! One of the reasons I went into studying Japanese cooking so much (aside from the price difference between $4 for a 3-donburi-serving slab of unagi at the market vs $14 for one serving at the restaurant) is that when you do Japanese cooking you never have to put anything in the oven. :3 When I lived in the apartment with the stove older than I was, not having to put anything in the oven was a major bonus on the path to edible food...
