"I know you do," Robb nodded, slow and serious, "and I'm sorry I left you hanging, Jon, I really am."
Looking down, he took in the sight - really noticed, for the very first time - the leather cuffs shackling Jon's wrists. They looked to be clunky, cumbersome things. All too briefly examined after being unpacked from overstuffed travel bag; more pressies than was necessary but still appreciated nonetheless. How he'd missed the clues (albeit unknowingly) laid out before him was inexcusable, really. His boyfriend had been trying to tell him something, and he'd been too wrapped up in having Jon back and within closest greedy reach to notice.
The very idea got him frowning. He needed to be far better than that; smarter, more aware.
"Didn't put it all together until a bit ago - the naughty texting while you were in England and all the kit you brought back..."
A mutual wank vetoed solely because, at the time, Robb had been concentrating more on finding the right ruddy shade of grey curtains than Jon's desires. He'd brushed him away like a troublesome midge buzzing round his ear, only allowed the rendezvous to happen when he wanted it to happen. Renly had nailed it so perfectly. He really was an awful cocktease.
"... and you're absolutely right about everything."
"It's not because I don't want you, because-" Robb pushed out a strangled laugh, "-sweet Christ I do. So much it drives me half mad some days."
Bottomless blue eyes walked their way up the length of Jon's midsection, across expanse of muscled torso and pectorals only accentuated by the snugness of worn cotton undershirt. The pick had been wholly intentional because sometimes what wasn't shown was far more enticing than what was; and Jon Snow most enticing pinup of all.
"Which is why we need to set some strict protocols. So we both know what the bloody fuck is going on. Put in place a handful of jobs or whatever you want to call them, so when one pops up you know what's coming and you won't feel like you're floundering. Only steady and completely focused on enjoying yourself and not the least bit worried about anything."
