SUBJECT: Robb's Birthday
Dearest Margaery,
Thank you again for agreeing to play Cerberus for us on Sunday. I had a brilliant time on the pull for a dress with you Tuesday and as of today have solidified Robb's attire: black kit, button down to match, lapis tie - telling you, that man was born to wear a suit. Robb has a bit of a surprise for you as well, but he will murder me if I spoil it.
In any regard, his birthday is coming up later this month and it just so happens we will be taking Weir up to San Francisco to participate in a breeding program the same week. I promised a while back to plan the whole affair and before I dive into all the details, I wanted your trusted opinion.
I have booked two accommodations. One for the weekend (14th and 15th) at East Brother's Light Station - http://www.ebls.org - and a second for his actually birthday (16th - 18th) at Inn at the Presidio - http://www.innatthepresidio.com. I know he is keen on visiting the Anchor Steam Brewery while we are in town and there is a distillery in Alameda I fancy trying as well. St. George's Spirits. Should have no trouble finding activities however I find myself at a complete loss as to actual presents.
Music is the obvious choice but his mum is already shipping out all his dad's old LPs. The entire collection, including the Butcher cover I mentioned. She told me last night after Robb went to bed that the shipment should arrive right in time for his birthday, but who really knows how customs will handle such a large and expensive load.
He has more than enough clothing. House is being remodelled sometime this month so I am wary of anything along the lines of furnishings, decor, utilities, et alii.
Suppose what I am asking is, given your superior knowledge, what do you get a bloke that says 'I love you,' even if you have not yet confessed those feelings? And before you chide me, I plan on. Just waiting for the right moment.
Cheers,
Jon
PS: He is food finicky, but do you think he might enjoy this? Opaque - http://sf.darkdining.com - or is it too much? xx Jon
