Sara rolled her eyes but otherwise made no note as her fiance so arrogantly and obviously tried to act with bravado to woo Gabrielle. She really didn't care what he did - in fact if it kept him from her, she welcomed it, but Merlin, he could at least not be so tactless about it. It was a bit pathetic.
"Maybe." Sara shrugged with the coyness that was to match the necessary innuendo that laced the conversation. "I'm not the most popular. But more popular than some." Sara, unlike Daphne who always strived to be the center of attention, preferred the background more. It was easier to get away with things with no one looking at you too much.
Taking the hand offered to her, Sara held her hand for a moment while she locked eyes with the girl before giving it a firm, but proper handshake. Before she let go, she allowed her fingers to linger along the underside of the girl's wrists. She noted how the tension in the air only seemed to spark.
"Well, welcome to the snake's lair." Sara said with the slightest bit of a purr that would be missed by most. She had heard the rumor that Slytherin was going to have a "guest" of sorts, but she was pleased that this guest was Gabrielle and not someone...less intriguing. Her lips quirked into the smallest of grins as the meaning of the flirtatious hint was not lost on her. "I'm sure we won't disappoint. Be warned though, our bite is just as good as our bark."
