Before Hermione could respond to Ginny's quip, the girl reached out and ran a hand through her hair. Her breath hitched as a tingle went through her spine and down her back. She inhaled deeply and closed her eyes which helped intensify the effect. When she did so, there was no telling the difference between the touch of a man versus the touch of woman.
"Ginny," she whispered just before the other girl's lips found hers. Instinctively she reached out for the one kissing her. The academic part of her brain kicked in and she began to compare the kiss to one of Viktor's. The touch was definitely more gentle, less insistant and more exploring than Hermione's previous experience. Tentively she parted her own lips and returned the kiss.
