"I know! What the bloody hell is that?" Vicky complained. "I don't think I've ever done an essay that long!" Vicky nodded. "We should try and get that done as soon as we can. I just want it to be over with."
Vicky nodded enthusiastically. "Charms has been brilliant! I love it." She opened her mouth to continue but stopped herself. She knew that not many people shared her enthusiasm for the subject, so she figured Ginny didn't want to hear her gush. "Defense Against the Dark Arts, though I am regretting that decisions! Muggle Studies, though we all need to take that. Transfiguration, Care of Magical Creatures and Potions."
"That would be great!" she laughed. "Though, I am sure he claims he is neutral now that he is Headmaster and not Head of Slytherin." She rolled her eyes at the ridiculous notion.
Leaning in, she listened intently. Ginny's serious expression had hinted at the gravity of what she was going to say. Once it was out, Vicky nodded once but didn't say anything for fear of being overheard. She was nervous about going to such a meeting but Ginny was right. Something needed to be done...
"Right!"
Vicky nodded but wrinkled her nose. "That doesn't sound...like too much fun. Mum and dad didn't know about sending me back. But, since everyone had to come back, they really didn't bring it up much."
"Want to go up to my room and work on the essay?" she asked loudly. Leaning in, she added softly and with a wry smile, "And I can tell you the few fun parts of my holidays." Getting up, she waited for Ginny so they could head up to the dorms.
