Millicent smirked as she watched Crabbe and Goyle leave. Those two would do anything Draco said and she could tell how often they angered him with their stupidity.
She tried not to scowl at his cruel comment. Draco could be cruel - she knew that and she knew he was only slightly different with Pansy. Pansy was lucky. Draco would be a dream catch to any of the Slytherin girls, but he didn't show his real self to anyone. None of the Slytherins did.
"The House Elves do know how to cook," she replied, offering him a forced smile. "Father wasn't even there. Off on one of his business trips again through the holidays. He only just returned before I had to meet the train."
Millicent wasn't one to share her emotions or feelings with anyone about how her father dismissed her at every turn. Pansy was maybe the only one who realized that she wasn't a daddy's girl and that she was simply trying to do the best she could until she could be on her own.
