Tracey gave her a mildly disapproving look. She was really just teasing and she hoped it came off that way. "You can, can you? Learned how to measure since you left school?" She chuckled softly. Cooking and potions had a lot in common as far as adding the right amount of ingredients to make it work. Heidi was likely to be surprised, hopefully pleasantly, by the subtle and complex spices she'd put in the meat of the shepherd's pie.
Crunching on the cool, crisp vegetables, Tracey nodded. "It did turn out pretty well. I am glad I put it on ice for a little bit." Warm salad usually left a lot to be desired. Moving back to the stove for a moment, she put in some dinner rolls.
"Are you going to tell Ginny and Katie that we had dinner?" she asked between bites of her salad.
