Turning the corner, Heidi still didn't see Tracey. She sighed and found a stoop to an abandoned building to sit on, resting against the wall. She knew Tracey was there. She just didn't know where. Setting the bags down, she reached into her's and pulled out one of the firewhiskey bottle.
As she unscrewed the top, Heidi began to think. Why was she even looking for the girl who had torn her heart out five years ago and that she had never really recovered from. Heidi had given her heart to Tracey and she had destroyed it, so why was Heidi seeking her out? She guessed it was just that despite all that had happened, she just wanted to see the girl who had her heart.
Knowing Tracey was near, and probably watching, Heidi took a long drink from the bottle before speaking in a low, almost pained but apathetic voice, her Irish brogue still clearly present. "It's been five years." She leaned her head back on the wall of the building. "For some reason I thought I would never see you again. Part of me never wanted to. It wanted to forget about you." She took another drink. "But it's pretty pointless to try and forget about something like that, isn't it...who am I kidding, you probably forgot about it the second you graduated. Threw away the necklace I gave you, our pictures." Heidi ran a hand through her hair and closed her eyes.
